Candied Orange Peel


 
  • zest from 1 organic orange
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 2 T water
  • additional sugar
  1. In saucepan, heat water and dissolve sugar. Add zest. Simmer on low 20 minutes.
  2. Strain syrup and reserve. Sprinkle additional sugar over zest and stir with a chopstick. Repeat until coated with sugar. Spread on wax paper and let dry.
