Maple Roasted Apple Bacon Kimchi Banh Mi
- Bread dough: 13.3 oz flour, 8 oz water, 1 t yeast, 1 t salt, 2 t sugar, 1 T oil, in bread machine on dough cycle. Split into 8 rolls and bake at 425. Cool.
- Crispy bacon: cook in microwave for 4 minutes
- Kimchi and dried cilantro
- Maple pan-roasted bacon and apple: Slowly cook strips of bacon cut into thirds, turning frequently to avoid burning or crisping. Remove bacon. Toss apple cut in 1/2" slaps into the pan and saute until crusty and browned. Combine apple with bacon, maple syrup, and juice from kimchi. Taste for seasoning balance.
- Thinly sliced raw fuji apple
- Labne mixed with chopped arugula, salt, and granulated garlic.
- Slice bread and spread labne mixture on both faces. Add other components and top with fresh arugula.
