Bacon Apple Labne Kimchi Banh Mi


Maple Roasted Apple Bacon Kimchi Banh Mi
  1. Bread dough: 13.3 oz flour, 8 oz water, 1 t yeast, 1 t salt, 2 t sugar, 1 T oil, in bread machine on dough cycle. Split into 8 rolls and bake at 425. Cool.
  2. Crispy bacon: cook in microwave for 4 minutes
  3. Kimchi and dried cilantro
  4. Maple pan-roasted bacon and apple: Slowly cook strips of bacon cut into thirds, turning frequently to avoid burning or crisping. Remove bacon. Toss apple cut in 1/2" slaps into the pan and saute until crusty and browned. Combine apple with bacon, maple syrup, and juice from kimchi. Taste for seasoning balance.
  5. Thinly sliced raw fuji apple
  6. Labne mixed with chopped arugula, salt, and granulated garlic.
  7. Slice bread and spread labne mixture on both faces. Add other components and top with fresh arugula.
